2026 AORA Annual Forum and AGM

NuGrow was pleased to be part of the conversation at the recent 2026 AORA – Australian Organics Recycling Association Limited Annual Forum and AGM in Sydney.

The forum brought together industry, government, researchers and operators to examine the opportunities and challenges shaping Australia’s organics recycling sector. A key moment was the release of AORA’s 2025–26 Industry Capacity Report, which prompted valuable discussion about the difference between headline processing capacity and the practical capability available to industry.

It was also encouraging to hear from Dr Nicole Robinson of The University of Queensland on the role of FOGO compost in enhancing crop nutrition and food quality. We were proud to supply recycled organics as part of UQ’s involvement in the End Food Waste CRC Smart Compost Formulations project, which is exploring how compost-based products can deliver higher-value outcomes for agriculture.

Research and collaboration of this kind are essential to moving beyond waste diversion and towards stronger outcomes for soils, growers, food systems and the circular economy.

Thank you to AORA, Chair Kali Martin (GAICD) , John McKew (GAICD MBA), the speakers and fellow attendees for a thoughtful and forward-looking forum.
